The matcha is a light/pale green colour, a little bit paler than I’m used to seeing. It is slightly bitter, I may try reducing the temperature of my water. Also, it took a bit of work to dissolve entirely.

I’ve been trying various brands of green tea matcha the past few years and there is quite a difference from one brand to the next. Some taste very grassy, some are slightly sweet, and some don’t have much flavor at all. I usually mix matcha with my iced tea mix in the morning and always add it to smoothies if that’s what we’re having for breakfast. I’m a piano teacher, so I get every germ blown in my face at some point during the week, and the matcha does seem to be helping to keep my immunity levels very high. I read sometime ago that matcha also has protective properties that can help to prevent cancer. I asked my oncologist and he said it definitely would not hurt, so I’m very faithful about taking at least a half teaspoon of it a day. I won’t swear by it, but as the doc said, it sure can’t hurt! This match has a very mild flavor, so mixing it with something else lightens the flavor even more. This is a favorite brand and I will continue to buy it!
